BY-LAW APPROVED
All Executive and Line Officers shall be duly elected for a One (1) year term by the membership of the organization. Any member may hold office for an unlimited number of terms consecutive except the President and Chief, who will not hold office for more than three consecutive terms.
This by-law will be added to current by-laws and distributed next month.
BY-LAW PROPOSAL
The Cicero Volunteer Fire Department will not spend more than $20,000 per year on parties and entertainment (including in-house soda).
Reason for By-law Proposal
In a time when personal and business finances are struggling, this will encourage the department to be more fiscally sound, to be more conscious of costs and limit unnecessary expenses.
Submitted by Firefighter George Barrett and a vote will be taken at the January monthly business meeting.

If any member is interested in attending either one of these classes please contact the training Chief.
EMS RESPONSE
Deputy Chief Pangaro discussed the concern from a member regarding the Squad or Rescue responding to EMS alarms without an EMT or CFR. The standing “SOG” states that in the absence of an EMT or CFR the crew can contact a Chief (that is medical qualified) and respond to the scene. This policy has been in effect for several years and at no time shall the crew of the Squad or Rescue arrive first without medical.
DUTY “EMT” SCHEDULING
Brandon Ladue advised the membership that he will be heading the task of scheduling a “DUTY” “EMT” for both stations Monday through Friday from 2100 to 0600 hours. If you are interested in participating, you should contact him at 876-1318.
